Terms of Service
The fine print, in plain English.
Last updated 24 October 2026.
These terms apply when you buy a website or hosting from Ziply. We've kept them short and in plain English. By paying for an order, you agree to them.
1. About these terms
"We", "us" and "Ziply" means Ziply of Melbourne, Victoria. "You" means the person or business placing the order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Your order and price
- Prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST unless stated. GST is added at checkout and shown on your tax invoice.
- You pay for your website in full when you place your order. This secures your spot and the price shown at checkout.
- Founding prices are released in limited batches. Once you've paid, your price is locked in, even if later batches cost more.
- We'll email you a tax invoice when you pay.
3. The build
- Business website: up to 10 pages, copy written for you, custom mobile-first design, a contact or quote form, Google Maps and click-to-call, basic SEO, your domain connected, and one round of changes.
- Online store: everything above, plus up to 30 products loaded, Stripe card payments, shipping and pickup rules, discount codes and order emails.
- Once your brief is complete, we'll book your build day, usually within a week. Business websites are built in one working day and online stores in two. We'll send you a preview link to review.
- Build days are booked on a first come, first served basis. If something outside our control causes a delay, we'll let you know and rebook as soon as we can.
- Extra pages, extra products or features beyond your plan are quoted separately. We'll always ask before doing work that costs more.
4. What we need from you
- A completed brief, and your logo and photos if you have them.
- Accurate information about your business. You're responsible for what your website says about your business, prices, licences and qualifications, so please check your preview carefully.
- The right to use anything you send us. Only upload logos, photos and text that you own or have permission to use.
- Quick feedback on your preview. If we don't hear from you within 14 days of sending your preview, we may treat it as approved.
- Access to your domain, or permission to register one for you. Domain registration fees are paid to the registrar and aren't included in our price.
5. Changes
One round of changes is included before launch. Send all your changes together and we'll make them. After launch, hosting includes 30 minutes of edits each month. Unused minutes don't roll over. Extra time is $30 per 15 minutes, and we'll ask before going over.
6. Our guarantee and refunds
- If the first version of your website isn't right, we'll start again with a fresh design.
- If you're still not happy before launch, tell us before your site goes live and we'll refund your website payment in full.
- Once your site is live, the build is complete and isn't refundable, except where the Australian Consumer Law gives you a right to a remedy.
- If you change your mind before we've started your build, we'll refund you in full. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
7. Hosting
- Hosting is $29 + GST a month for a business website and $49 + GST a month for an online store, billed monthly to your saved card from the day your site goes live.
- It includes Australian servers, daily backups kept for 30 days, security updates, an SSL certificate, uptime monitoring and 30 minutes of edits a month.
- Hosting is month to month with no lock-in. You can cancel from your customer portal at any time, and your site stays online until the end of the month you've paid for.
- Founding customers keep their hosting rate for as long as they stay. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any other price change.
- Referrals: when a new customer pays for a website using your referral code or link, we add one month of hosting credit to your account. Credit comes off your hosting invoices, has no cash value and can't be transferred. You can't refer yourself.
- If a payment fails, we'll let you know. If it's still unpaid after 14 days, we may take your site offline until it's paid.
- We aim to keep your site online at all times, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable, for example during maintenance or a provider outage.
8. Who owns what
- Your domain, your logo, your photos and the words on your website belong to you once you've paid.
- We grant you an ongoing licence to use the design and code of your website. Stock photos are licensed for use on your website only.
- Our own tools, templates, components and know-how remain ours, and we can reuse general techniques for other customers.
- We may show your website in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
- If you leave, we'll give you a full copy of your website and help you point your domain wherever you like. No exit fees.
9. Your account
Keep your login details private. You're responsible for activity on your account. Don't use your website or our hosting for anything unlawful, misleading, offensive, or that infringes someone else's rights. If you do, we may remove the content or suspend the service.
10. Liability
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Ending the service
You can cancel hosting at any time from your portal. We may end the service with 30 days' notice, or straight away if you seriously breach these terms. Either way, we'll give you a copy of your website.
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. We may update them from time to time. Changes won't affect orders you've already paid for. Questions? Email hello@ziply.com.au.
